Born and raised in Nottingham, Khushi Kaur began singing at 11 when she started doing Kirtan at the Gurudwara. She developed a passion for Indian music and began taking professional singing lessons from her Ustaad, Roben Gill. After this, she also trained with the Shankar Mahadevan Academy, from which she learnt the core foundations of hindustani vocal music alongside the art of Raag.
Alongside learning music Khushi continued to study at college and focus on her passion.
Khushi is set to begin university next year and launch her singing career. Her first stage performance was aged 12 when she performed at a Lohri event, raising funds for underprivileged girls in India.
Khushi has developed a love for the stage, performing at weddings and events already gaining a fanbase before releasing her music.
In December 2021 she released her debut single Nainowale Ne, which is a cover of the popular song from the film Padmaavat. Her second single Boohe Diyan Kundiyan released on 24th June 2022, which is a cover of Miss Pooja’s song from 2011.
Following the release of these 2 covers, Khushi will be releasing her original content which she has already been working on and preparing.
